PEB Group consists of PEB Corp, the holding company; SmartBrix Construction, the construction company; and NewCon Steel®, the cold-formed steel manufacturer. Engineering, material supply and construction are separate scopes coordinated to suit each project.

Company identity and location
PEB Corp is Pre-Engineered Buildings Corp, S.A.; SmartBrix Construction is SmartBrix Centroamérica S.A.S.; and NewCon Steel® is NewCon Steel Corp. The group plant is at Centro Industrial PEB, Las Mañanitas, Panama City. PEB Corp is the company name; PEB is also an industry abbreviation for pre-engineered buildings.

Are PEB Corp, SmartBrix and NewCon Steel the same company?
They belong to the same group but have different roles and legal entities. PEB Corp is the holding and engineering company; SmartBrix Construction builds; NewCon Steel manufactures and supplies steel. Each proposal should identify the contracting entity and its scope.
Which company delivers turnkey buildings?
SmartBrix Construction is the group’s construction company. The proposal defines the turnkey scope, including the agreed design, permitting, foundations, structure, envelope, services and finishes. Buying a structural kit from NewCon Steel is a different scope from buying a completed building.
Can I purchase steel without a construction contract?
Yes. NewCon Steel supplies LGS/CFS profiles, preassembled panels and structural kits. If you have a contractor, request a supply quotation with drawings, quantities, destination and the required level of prefabrication.
Who coordinates a project in the Caribbean?
PEB Corp is the group contact for engineering and export coordination to the Caribbean and other served markets. Feasibility, logistics, permits, taxes and installation responsibilities must be confirmed for the specific destination.
Does the plant manufacture hot-rolled structural steel?
NewCon Steel specializes in cold-formed steel, including bolted components. PEB Corp coordinates engineering for hot-rolled structural steel systems. Confirm the structural system and supply scope before comparing quotations.
How can I verify standards, certificates and references?
Request the project calculations and drawings, material certificates, and current management-system certificates showing their holder, scope and validity. A management certification does not replace structural calculations, local permits or a project-specific warranty.
