Group advantages in Colombia
In Colombia, PEB Corp Group combines PEB Corp's NSR-10 engineering, steel from the group's CNC plant in Panama (NewCon Steel®) and turnkey construction by SmartBrix Construction, with a local office in Bogotá.
PEB Corp integrates seismic design into every project from day one. Its engineers work across Colombia's three seismic hazard zones (low, intermediate and high) and adapt each structure to its zone. On the coast, wind design includes hurricane design verified per project up to 250 km/h (Category 4). The quoted wind speed is a design reference, not a universal building rating.
SmartBrix Construction carries out erection from its local office in Bogotá and mobilizes crews for each project. Corrosion and humidity protocols cover the Coffee Region, the Pacific and the Caribbean.
Site materials, transport, welding and finishes are sourced in the region, close to each project.
SmartBrix Construction delivers the project turnkey and coordinates PEB Corp's BIM engineering, steel from the group plant (NewCon Steel®), regional transport, supervised erection and handover. One contract, one point of accountability and one schedule. Warranty terms are defined in each project contract.
Budget per project
PEB Corp publishes no price table for Colombia: the budget is confirmed per project, with the freight, local duties and taxes, and erection for each location, plus the NSR-10 seismic zone, clear height and finishes. The only price reference the PEB Corp Group publishes is the Panama 2026 reference, for the steel structure only, and it does not apply to Colombia.
The steel ships from the group plant in Panama. Ocean freight and overland transport to the site depend on the route, the port and the cargo volume.
A Panamanian certificate of origin (HS 72.16) is available; import treatment is decided by the destination customs.
SmartBrix Construction carries out erection and turnkey construction from its local office in Bogotá and confirms coverage for each location.
Send the area, city and intended use to receive a preliminary estimate with a ±20% margin. The precise quote follows the design contract.
Budget reference: confirm currency, date, location and inclusions with a project quotation. Steel supply, foundations, MEP, finishes, transport and taxes are separate cost items unless the offer explicitly includes them.
Colombian climate and regulatory environment
Colombia combines very different climates and seismic zones: the Coffee Region, with high seismic acceleration; the Caribbean Coast, with coastal wind and salt-laden air; and the Andes, with high humidity. PEB Corp designs every building for its context.
Colombia uses low, intermediate and high seismic hazard categories. The applicable parameters are checked for the municipality and site, together with the soil profile and applicable local microzonation. Regional labels do not replace project calculations.
NSR-10 sets the design wind speed for each site, higher on the Caribbean and Pacific coasts than in the Andes. PEB Corp designs the structure and its anchorage for each location, with hurricane design verified per project up to 250 km/h (Category 4).
In Barranquilla, Cartagena and Santa Marta, the Zn-Al-Mg 275 g/m² coating is complemented by a multi-coat epoxy system; in the humid Andes, by two coats of epoxy; the dry interior (Bogotá, Medellín) has lower exposure. Final protection is specified for each project.
Enclosures sloped 5–8% with gutters sized for tropical runoff. The LGS thermal insulation is tailored to the high humidity of the Andes and the Coast.
Portfolio projects belong to the PEB Corp Group and were executed by SmartBrix Construction with PEB Corp engineering. On some, the structure was fabricated at the group plant (NewCon Steel®, in operation since 2018); on others, the group only installed it.

Project types in Colombia
Logistics warehouses on the Sabana de Bogotá, metalworking plants in Medellín, schools in the regions, retail in Cali and hospitality on the Coast: these are the project types PEB Corp Group handles in Colombia.
Distribution centers of 3,000–8,000 m² in Funza, Mosquera and Tocancipá, with 24–30 m clear spans and 7–9 m height. Seismic parameters, design wind and erection schedule are confirmed per project.
Light manufacturing, textile and metalworking plants of 2,000–5,000 m² in the Valle de Aburrá, with loading docks and overhead rail. The seismic system and connection details are defined by the site conditions and project calculations.
Classrooms, labs and libraries of 1,500–3,500 m² in the regions, with a steel structure combined with brick and concrete, and enhanced NSR-10 design. Turnkey scope by SmartBrix Construction: structure, MEP and finishes, typically 3–5 months from foundations.
Heavy structures with overhead cranes and specialized machinery supports. CNC-fabricated gussets, plates and anchors, with the schedule confirmed per project.
Mixed steel-and-concrete structures for 5,000–15,000 m² centers, with parking decks and anchor tenants. NSR-10 design, coastal wind verified per project and seismic detailing defined by the structural system.
Hotels and resorts in Cartagena and Santa Marta, with a Zn-Al-Mg 275 g/m² coating and an epoxy system for a severe salt environment. The design accounts for Caribbean hurricanes.

PEB Corp does not publish price ranges for Colombia. The budget is confirmed per project (freight from Panama, local duties and taxes, and erection) and varies with the city, the NSR-10 seismic zone, structural complexity and finish level. MEP, special finishes and permits are itemized separately in each quote. For a preliminary estimate (±20% margin), send the area, location and intended use.
A 2,000 m² industrialized warehouse takes ≈4 months for fabrication plus erection; the building license from the curaduría urbana (Colombian permit office) is processed in parallel (typically 4–6 weeks). A 2,000–3,000 m² turnkey project executed by SmartBrix Construction (design, license, fabrication, civil works and erection) takes ≈28 weeks, because fabrication overlaps the civil works. Larger buildings, or those with cold storage and offices, are scheduled by scope in the quote.
NSR-10, Colombia’s seismic-resistant building code, and its applicable amendments establish the design requirements. PEB Corp checks the site location, soil, use, height and structural system for each project. The analysis method and seismic detailing are selected for that case. The BIM model coordinates information; it does not replace structural calculations or site studies.
NewCon Steel® CNC-fabricates the structure at the group plant in Panama, with documented export. SmartBrix Construction erects it; from its local office in Bogotá, it serves projects in Bogotá D.C., Medellín, Cali, Barranquilla, Cartagena, Bucaramanga and Santa Marta, and confirms coverage for each location.
The process has four steps: (1) an initial meeting to define scope, schedule and objectives; (2) technical proposal / quote in 48 h, with a reply within 24 business hours; (3) a design contract that produces the detailed BIM model and a precise quote on shop drawings; (4) the construction and supply contract, which SmartBrix Construction quotes as a closed-scope turnkey contract. The design fee is credited against the construction contract.
